We stayed on a barrier island and got to go over lots of long, scenic bridges on the way out. Very cool!
Considering there were 6 of us in a hotel room it went great. Caiden and Rylan shared the pull out couch which meant there was lots of telling them to go to sleep and some frustration with space in the middle of the night, but who needs sleep anyway?!
(this obviously isn't the pull out couch!)
The location was amazing! The pool, bar, and bay off our balcony.
And the gulf view from our front door.
Shallow, calm water.... powdery white sand.... lots of great shops and places to eat
Clean playgrounds, in the shade!
Caiden wanted a picture of the pirate ship. Good thing he doesn't know that you could actually pay and ride on it :)
It was pretty crowded despite being off season and thankfully it isn't killer hot yet. But it was a great place and we will definitely be back! We looped back along the coast to head back home past some unreal houses!
There was lots of screaming, whining, crying, accidents, blowouts and projectile vomiting but in between all of those we had short periods of enjoyment so I'd call our mini-vacation a success. We're exhausted!
