Jesse Tree

I love the idea of Advent - the preparation and building anticipation toward Jesus' birth.  In my continued search for a good Advent story/activity to do with the kids, we used the Jesse tree this year.


Pros: The kids loved getting to put ornaments on the tree and it was a good way for them to see the count down of days until Christmas.

Cons: A lot of the reading and the progression of the stories toward Christmas morning was rough for us.

I know the kids are still on the young side so we'll keep refining our Advent traditions until I finally settle on the one that feels right for us!
