We drove for a couple miles and were at a great beach. Soft sand, beach volleyball courts, and warm, clear water. It was a great beach for the kids - the water stays shallow very far out.
Caiden kept telling us the whole way there that he was going to dig in the sand with his tractor, not go in the water yet, but by the time we set our stuff down we were all so hot he ran straight to the water!
Both kids LOVED it! We have to keep an eye on them because they both head for the water every chance they get. No fear in either one which is great on the one hand, but puts the fear in me!
Caiden was having a blast jumping in the waves and even though he was getting knocked all around, he wasn't bothered at all. Rylan loved the water, not so sure about the sand though. (I don't think I'd want to crawl through the deep, hot sand either) She had a great time walking out a long ways and when I brought her back up shallow enough to sit down and crawl around, she started speed crawling back out! We're going to have to watch that girl. She squealed with each wave and neither one was happy when it was time to leave.
Everyone's napping now and I'm betting they're going to sleep well!
