Soccer - Take 2

We just finished up another soccer season.  A lot of rained out practices and games and a team that wasn't very motivated to play but our kids still had fun.

Checking out his number at the first game

We may need to work on better soccer etiquette!

This season Rylan got to play also and it was fun to have the kids on the same team!

Caiden definitely improved from last time and once again loved playing.

(When did he get so big!?!)

He mainly played as a defender and if the rules allowed it he would have spent all of his time in the goal blocking shots.  Since goalies are frowned upon at this level he devoted himself to clearing the ball whenever it was headed the "wrong" way, has developed a much better awareness of what's happening around him and worked hard to get the ball to the best scorers on the team.

After his one and only goal since he usually passes before taking a shot.  (He seriously gives us lectures on the importance of teamwork during his water breaks)

Warming up...

Rylan loved being on the team and always wanted to go in at the games but kept herself at least 10 feet from the pack around the ball at all times.  She had a blast but didn't play much "soccer" for most of the season.

(Now she's looking old too!)

In the last 2 games she started getting into the fray a bit and kicked the ball quite a few times (next we have to work on what to do after you kick the ball - currently she kicks it, then immediately turns around to jump up and down and yell to us that she kicked it)

Getting our trophies after the last game
