Manatee

On Sunday we drove to Blue Spring State park to see a manatee refuge.

(Kellen on my back)

There's a natural spring that dumps 100 million gallons of 73 degree water into the St John's river.  The spring makes the water crystal clear so it's easy to see lots of wildlife.

Our crew struggled a bit with the idea that we need to talk quietly to not disturb the animals and to do our best to leave the trail exactly as we found it.

As promised, there were LOTS of people and LOTS of manatee

Everyone of the gray things you see in the water is a manatee

Kellen was enjoying himself

There was a busy playground to help get out some of our energy and loudness

And an old house built in 1872 along this shipping and train route

By the time we left Rylan was DONE
