Painted Oaks

It's that time of year for the pumpkin patch.

The kids had a great time. The weather and the setting were beautiful.

There were ponies, horses, bounce houses, lots of photo ops and of course, pumpkins.

The kids, while willing to pose for pictures, were not in the mood to give me anything closely resembling real smiles.

Caiden is an old pro at horse-back riding - no fear, just pure enjoyment.

Rylan was very excited for days before and the during the wait in line for the ponies, but started to get pretty nervous when she got up there.

She didn't want to hold on to the blanket but as long as she could hold Dad's hands, she was okay. (She wouldn't even stay on for a couple seconds last time so this was a huge improvement!)

She got more relaxed and started enjoying herself more with each lap.

More cheesy smiles

And we got a semi-decent picture of all 6 of us but of course the camera was on the wrong setting. So frustrating!! It's not often we're able to get a picture of the whole family (much less with a seasonally appropriate background) so I'm including it anyway - just squint your eyes and imagine that it's in focus.
