It was great to have both of us home for the last 2 months. If only we could figure out how to do that permanently we might survive this crazy baby phase with our sanity intact!
I'm trying to keep a positive attitude as we move into this next phase and once again adjust to a routine and new version of "normal".
The twins are still eating every 3 hours - maybe one 4 hour stretch at night if we're lucky. That means we typically get 4-5 hours of sleep a night which is split up with feedings and unfortunately a lot of crying. I honestly don't know how we're still healthy and functioning on such little sleep for so many weeks in a row!
We got these bottles last week which makes it a little more possible for one person to feed both babies at the same time.
It's not perfect and feels a little impersonal but it works fairly well. We're still struggling and trying to make nursing work but they haven't mastered it yet.
Having two small infants is definitely tough. I have a whole new respect for any parents of multiples!
You can make it - if anyone can you guys can. We are all cheering you on and praying for you. The babies are so cute! We love you all!
