Our choices were a bit limited between the heat and my needing to sit most of the time at this point in my pregnancy but we still wanted to find something that Caiden would really enjoy. We ended up deciding to take him to a place that had go-carts, laser tag and bumper cars (also mini-golf but we didn't do that) and it couldn't have been more perfect!
Caiden was a little cautious at first so we started with the slow family track where he could ride with Logan. After that he was all in!
So excited to drive himself, but very focused and concentrated the whole time.
He said laser tag was a little "spooky" but he wasn't scared.
The bumper cars got the best laughs and facial expressions of the whole night!
After that we went and had dinner at a place he frequently asks to go to and he got their "sea snakes" (spaghetti). Then we came home and had some ice cream with Rylan.
Caiden has challenged us, impressed us, made us laugh and kept us on our toes since he burst on the scene in his own timing 5 years ago! He loves people, loves to talk, loves to learn, loves guns, adores his sister, excels with structure and routine and is amazingly good at building things usually creating them out of his own mind! He lives life as close to the edge as possible which means we are constantly having conversations about learning self-control and working through emotions that get pretty intense at either end of the spectrum, but I love that he lives life to the fullest and doesn't like to hold anything back.
Happy birthday, buddy! We are so proud of you and know that you are more than ready to own 5. We are so glad you are a part of our family and God couldn't have picked a better big brother for your sister and brothers - you're a natural leader. We can't wait to see who God continues to shape you to be and how He will use you in amazing ways!
happy birthday caiden! we miss you!
